We’d like to welcome Gemma Shakespeare to Impact. She has joined us as Senior Consultant on our temporary desk. Gemma brings a wealth of temp recruitment experience to the role which is for the best as we’ve been so busy! Here is a little Q&A to get to know her better, but if you’d like to get in touch, her email is firstname.lastname@example.org
- How have your first few weeks been?
Busy but in a really good way. I’ve loved learning about a new industry for me and keen to learn more. Everyone at Impact have been so nice and have made me feel so welcome.
- What will you be working on now?
I am working alongside Ellen in the Temp Support Division in the Creative and Media industry. We are working on our traditional offering such as Receptionists, PA’s, Admin Assistants and Office Managers. However we are also working on much more diverse roles for our larger clients, such as creative coordinators, customer service managers, merchandisers and even producers.
- Do you enjoy working remotely?
Yes, I find that I am more productive but I am really looking for to going into the office to meet everyone in person
- What kind of recruitment experience do you have?
I have been in recruitment for 10 years and have experience in both public and private sector. I started as a Trainee Consultant and worked my way up. The majority of my time in recruitment was spent in Education Recruitment with a small amount of time in Office Support Recruitment. I have recently come from nearly 4 years in internal recruitment for a local authority with some very varied roles.
- What is your favourite thing about working for Impact?
The people I now get to call my colleagues but also the clients and candidates have been amazing
- What are your interests outside of work?
I have 4 year old twin girls who I love spending all of my time with. I have a horse and had my first riding lesson on my 8th birthday. I’m a huge Disney fan and am planning a trip to Disneyland Paris soon with my girls. I workout every day and fitness is a huge part of my life.
