We are very excited here at Impact as plans for the new 24 hour tube have come to fruition with the capital’s first ever night tubes starting tomorrow!  London is already a 24-hour city so plans to keep the capital moving overnight have met the ever growing passenger demands. From tomorrow the Central and Victoria lines will be open for travel into the early hours of the morning on a Friday and Saturday night – with plans to extend this to the Northern, Jubilee and Piccadilly lines later in autumn.

So what does this mean for us? Some of us will revel in the late night trains turning that ‘one glass of wine’ after work into a late night affair! – I know there are a few Impacters that will take full advantage! However, not only this but the 24-hour tubes will also play a vital role in opening up London’s night-time economy. Independent research into the economic benefits of the Night Tube found that the new service will boost jobs and help maintain London’s status as a vibrant and exciting place to live, work and visit. In essence, business is booming in the big city! We can’t wait to see the positive effect the changes will have over the next year and what the future will hold.
