BACK TO NEWS & EVENTS

This April we hosted an engaging Easter themed breakfast meeting with our team to share our Social Impact discussions and explore appetite from our wider team.  Building on our sustainability and improving the impact we make on the environment is a key focus for us.

It was great to brainstorm our ideas to lower our carbon foot print and we committed to walking instead of using public transport once a week and cycling rather than driving.  We agreed to encourage meat free Monday or vegan Wednesdays which would be beneficial in lowering the emissions we release collectively as a team. Another suggestion was to remove the use of plastic in the office such as plastic water bottles and containers and also combine online orders to help reduce the impact that transport has on the environment.

Our team’s wellbeing is our top priority and so we enhanced our benefit package to introduce critical illness cover – a benefit we hope our team will never need, but important they have the reassurance and support if it’s required.

Giving all Impactees an opportunity to share their ideas and with our culture of ‘no idea is a bad idea’ we will explore litter picking, tree planting on achieving quarterly objectives and encouraging our progress to carry into personal commitments too.

We believe these discussions are vital and all the better when had over croissants and fruit salad … such a brilliant way to start the day and thanks Impact for the yummy Easter Eggs!!
