HRs Big Night Out (with a little help from Finance..)
Last week, Impact’s Team HR and Finance hit the town to celebrate another good year in the world of recruitment… We started our evening with a few cocktails in the Giddy heights of the Shard, in the Oblix bar. A glamourous setting with amazing views across London we started with great sophistication ordering in Cosmopolitans before moving on to the decidedly more original .. ‘Joes’. After a few for the road we headed to Duck and Waffle for some fine dining. Having analysed the menu (at substantial length) we decided to order a plate of (basically) everything and due to the fantastic generosity of the chef – #DanDoherty, each portion came in double… From roasted octopus, wild cornish pollock meatballs, scotch bhadji to the infamous duck and waffle itself it was the Tartiflette which finally floored us!
We soldiered on; munching (delicately of course…) our way through the mountains of beautifully cooked not-so-small plates, wishing that we’d had the foresight to wear elasticated trousers so we could fit in dessert (we couldn’t … it got emotional) and we debated long into the night as to whether it would be poor etiquette to ask them if we could take the leftovers (crispy pigs ears) for the tipsy train ride home; match made in Heaven).
Teams HR and Finance certainly know how to celebrate in style!
