Tell us about your experience?

I have previously worked in student recruitment, screening and recruiting international students to study their degree in Berlin. My professional career has mostly been sales based, but my interest in the creative industries has always been present, more so after studying a degree in Menswear design.

Why did you choose Impact?

I was initially searching for an agency where I can pursue my recruitment career within the creative industries. When I first interviewed at Impact, I was blown away by the friendly and relaxed atmosphere within the office. It really seemed like a place I would enjoy working, rather than just a pay cheque to pay the bills! I think that’s very important to motivate me and encourage my passion for the role further.

How have your first few days gone?

The first few days have been great! It started off with an amazing welcome and a real team spirit, it feels like a little family here! There’s lots of information to learn and I really appreciate the extensive detail involved in HR as I love something I can really get my teeth stuck into.

How would you describe the culture and working environment?

The working environment seems vibrant and dynamic! There seems to be a real drive and passion from everyone here to build strong relationships and provide an amazing service to our clients. The relaxed, yet professional culture fits perfectly with the types of clients we work with and really creates a creative atmosphere which helps to get your mind in a good space in order to do your role effectively.

Having joined as Junior Consultant on our HR Division, what type of ‘impact’ do you hope to make?

I hope to help change the way recruitment is perceived within the industry. Recruitment seems to have a reputation to be a bit ‘shark-ey’ and less about building strong relationships. I want to every candidate and client I connect with to feel like I care about their future rather than being just another number.
