Despite tough competition, Michelle was our celebrated winner and crowned at our Annual Wrap up presentation.

She received a Certificate, £500 British Airways voucher and of course huge recognition from her colleagues

Whilst Michelle has been an Impact Star since she joined us 4.5 year ago, 2018 was a standout year for her.   Not only did she lead 2 teams to success, Michelle contributed immensely within our senior management team and also smashed all her own goals and targets for the year.

We are delighted for her and hope that by winning our inaugural Employee of the Year award shows how much everyone at Impact appreciates her dedication and hard work.  She’s recognised by her clients, candidates, and internally with what she does for our company.

Not only that, Michelle is an all-round superstar who was worthy winner of this award!

How does it feel to be our Employee of the Year 2018?

It feels great! Firstly, I am super excited about my upcoming travels courtesy of our Co-Founders, Nick and Jules, so a whole hearted thank you for such a fantastic EotY prize!! It’s really amazing to be part of a company that recognises and really values their employees.

It’s a real privilege to have won this year but I must say it is a testament to very strong team around me who I heavily rely on and am extremely grateful for. We have worked extremely hard this year so it’s great to see it pay off!

What were your 2018 highlights?

There have been many highlights in 2018; I’ve been fortunate enough to be involved in some incredible projects including the development of our social impact strategy partnering with some amazing charities in the push for a more inclusive workforce. As a team, we have grown and welcomed the lovely Kerrease as an Associate in the Support family, which has been a key addition and I have watched my division thrive and not only add value to the clients they work with but grow as individuals and really come into their own. Also, on a personal note, my highlights are always around finding that ‘unicorn’ candidate who you know will blow your client away and thankfully I have been lucky enough to work with quite a few!

What’s are your 3 top tips to those who want to be as successful as you?

Coming up in this industry, I have worked with some really inspirational people, women in particular, who became invaluable mentors and helped me develop my own style. I would say that the key things I stick by arebeing curiousandasking the right questions, having theconfidence to speak upand use my voice and finally, taking pride in whatever I do. If I’m going to spend my time doing it, I will endeavour to do it well. Whether it’s emptying the dishwasher or leading on a pitch, for me, it’s all about giving 110% every day so I can leave the office feeling like I have done my best and been an ally for everyone I work with.

What’s the plan for 2019?

I am really excited for 2019! I plan on getting really stuck in on strategy across the business, rolling out our health and well-being programme and continuing to grow the Permanent Support team with some more key hires. We have so many amazing clients across the agency so 2019 will no doubt be focussed on taking care of our long-standing partners while building new relationships with exciting companies across tech and entertainment. If we play our cards right, we may also see Impact’s Summer party hit Ibiza for a second time… who knows!?
