We welcome Sally to the Impact team!

Sally is an experienced creative recruiter and has joined Impact to enhance our already successful Creative Team as our newest Creative Consultant. We are delighted to have Sally on board and are in no doubt that she will have a fantastic career at Impact.

Tell us about yourself!

Hello! I’m Sally, I come from a background in art and design and being a change maker in the creative industry is what makes me tick. I have a super keen eye for a hot portfolio, I love working with designers, speaking through creative ideas and seeing next-level design work.

When you give Impact a call and you hear a wicked Yorkshire accent on the other side of the phone, that’s me!

Outside of work, you can find me wandering around galleries and ticking off my long list of restaurant recommendations.

Why did you choose Impact?

Impact has been on my radar for a long time and when a chance to speak with Nick and Jules came up, I jumped at the opportunity.

Over the last 21 years, Impact has built an incredible roster of clients and has supported career-defining moves for many. I’m excited to continue Impact’s work and introduce excellent creatives to some of the top clients in the industry.

The company’s dedication to social impact also really stood out to me, from supporting young creatives to tackling climate change, working with a team whose values align with my own is always at the top of my list.

What is your remit at Impact?

I will specialise in permanent and temp positions on our ever-growing creative desk working on a variety of roles under the design umbrella. I will be working closely with branding designers, packaging designers, digital designers, motion designers, copywriters and more.

How has your first week gone?

I’ve had a great first week with the team, from meeting excellent designers, introducing myself to clients and learning all things Impact, it’s been great to get stuck in.

In between a busy upcoming week at the office, we will also be hitting up an escape room, participating in an office treasure hunt and taking a team trip to plant trees, I can’t wait.

What type of Impact’ do you hope to make?

Championing innovation and mobilising opportunities for creative talent is my bag. I’m excited to be a part of Impact’s mission to drive a more diverse, inclusive and welcoming creative community, helping exceptional designers find the right careers, and making the design industry one of the most exciting spaces to be a part of.

We welcome Lani to the Impact team!

Lani is a hugely experienced Marketing and Production Senior Consultant and has joined impact to enhance our already successful Marketing Team. We are delighted to have Lani onboard and are in no doubt that she will have a fantastic career at Impact.

Tell us about yourself!

Hello! I’m Lani ( Lar-nee) I’m known for being extremely clumsy, my cackle and an avid snack enthusiast. I realised that Recruitment encompassed all things I enjoyed about previous roles 5 years ago and I haven’t looked back since. When I’m not working, you can find me in my happy place, the gym or planning my next sunny getaway. I LOVE music, I have no music skills however, so I’m just a big consumer of listening and going to gigs/ festivals.

Why did you choose Impact?

It was super important for me that the agency I chose aligned with my personal values, had good vibes and a worked in with clients that excite me. When I did some research, I saw that Impact were big on social impact and inclusivity which immediately stood out to me – especially working with kids from disadvantaged socio-economic areas. I got a really good energy from the team and felt it was a great fit.

What is your remit at Impact?

I will specialising in Marketing and everything in-between. I love working in the social media and production spaces. I have worked on a lot of influencer marketing roles, start ups and clients from media to beauty and wellness.

How has your first week gone?

It’s day 3 but I’m already loving it – the team are all lovely, welcoming and genuine and I’m just excited to be back agency side and getting stuck in.

What type of Impact’ do you hope to make?

I want to help continue to drive the Marketing team to be the go to support for the creative and media industry and for us to have a record year as a team. I would also love to get involved in the social impact projects and make as much of a positive impact as possible.

We welcome Daniel to the team, who will be enhancing Impact’s offering across the D&I spectrum and will be placing specialist ED&I roles, recruiting more diverse candidates into generalist roles and much more! With a strong career history in recruitment, we are delighted to have him on our team.

Tell us about yourself!

I’m a Nigerian-born Refugee with a Recruitment background in Higher Education, Professional and Financial Services. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about ED&I and mental health awareness and have worked with organisations and charities on various projects and campaigns. Outside my 9-5, I enjoy volunteering, singing, spending time with friends, at the gym or cooking some Nigerian jollof rice.

Why did you choose Impact?

This was a slightly difficult one for me as I had a few other offers on the table. However, the opportunity from Impact felt like The One given my passion for ED&I and interest in the media and creative industry.  I also had a very positive experience and vibe during the interview process and had the opportunity to learn about their long-term commitment to ED&I.

How has your first week gone?

Amazing! Everyone on the team has been super nice and supportive. I’ve learnt more about our media and creative clients and network and the background music in the office creates a fun vibe. Love it here!

What is your remit at Impact?

I will be enhancing Impact’s offering across the D&I spectrum and will be placing specialist ED&I roles, recruiting more diverse candidates into generalist roles and hosting and co-hosting HR/EDI roundtable discussions and events with their high-profile Media and Creative Clients and Network.

What type of Impact’ do you hope to make?

To engage and raise awareness on ED&I issues as well as support our clients to diversify their workforce by placing ED&I roles and recruiting more diverse candidates into generalist positions. Also looking forward to organising and hosting as many ED&I events throughout the year.

Welcome Kitty!

We are excited to welcome Kitty to Impact HQ! With a strong career background, Kitty is a real people person and the newest team member in our temp division and is ready to start matching you with your next role!

Tell us about your experience.

I come from a really varied background! I have about seven years of training experience which spans hospitality training, learning & development coordination and teaching English as a foreign language.

I’ve also worked many years in the hospitality industry, working with people, developing empathy, and practising kindness. Mostly I’ve worked with people from all walks of life, getting to know them, finding out what they need, and then tailoring experiences to suit them.

Why did you choose Impact?

I chose Impact for a couple of reasons, but mostly I felt like we were a great fit for each other. I was looking for an excellent team that would nurture my professional growth, exist within a creative space, and care about their place in the world. Impact was looking for a passionate person, who cares about people, and is a nerd about the details. So far it seems like a match made in Heaven!

The cherry on top of the cake is of course the people Impact works with. I am so grateful to be working with some of the leading creative companies in the industry, as well as the incredible candidates who we introduce them to.

How has your first week gone?

I’ve loved it. My team has really paced the training to suit my learning needs and I can eagerly see what’s next to come! I’ve been blown away by our Senior Team’s focus on mentorship and their presence within the workspace.

How would you describe the culture and working environment?

I cannot overstate how friendly, welcoming, and supportive the environment at Impact is. All the team have gone out of their way to bring me into the fold, and even within my first week, I could see how much they cared about my professional development and my personal wellbeing. There’s also a good mix of fun in there, of course, I’m already grateful for the great music and after-work chats.

Having joined as an Associate in our Temp Division, what type of ‘impact’ do you hope to make?

Working on the temp desk, my main goal is to match people to a role that enhances their life. Whether it’s a benefit to their personal life because of the flexibility it offers or whether it’s an advancement in their professional life because it’s going to further their career.

Welcome Emma!

With a strong career history in HR recruitment, Emma is the newest member of Impact HQ as a Senior Consultant in our HR sector. With a career history in recruitment spanning from in-house small media agencies, to 360 recruitment, Emma’s got what it takes to match amazing talent with their dream jobs and add value to both candidates and clients!

Tell us about your experience?

I started my recruitment career in-house for a small media agency, and after deciding I was ready for a new challenge I decided to take the leap into 360 recruitment with a specific focus on HR, which I loved. Having worked in HR previously it seemed like the perfect fit for my experience and knowledge, and after taking some time away to try my hand at rec2rec, I couldn’t be happier to be back where I belong!

Why did you choose Impact?

Impact immediately stood out as a place where diversity is important and celebrated. The culture and the values speak for themselves and, when you add the incredible client base that’s been built over the last 20 years, it’s difficult not to be impressed!

How has your first week gone?

My first week was a whirlwind of meeting new people, getting up to speed, navigating a new office, and enjoying after-work drinks with my new team. Not to mention, my first week ended with the Impact summer party, which was incredible! The whole team have made every effort to make me feel welcome and I couldn’t feel more at home.

How would you describe the culture and working environment?

Everyone is genuinely ecstatic to be at work every day – and as cheesy as it sounds, it does feel like a big family. Nick and Jules are brilliant mentors and encourage everyone to be themselves, so you feel instantly at ease from your very first day.

Having joined as a Senior Consultant in our Support Division, what type of ‘impact’ do you hope to make?

I hope to make a name for myself in the HR space and continue with the amazing partnerships Nick and Jules have built over the last 21 years – but mostly, I can’t wait to match amazing talent with their dream jobs and add value to both my candidates and clients.

Welcome Ellie!

Here at Impact with love working with individuals who are ready to help others excel in their creative careers and start their own careers in the recruitment industry, so welcome aboard the team Ellie!

Tell us about your experience starting in the recruitment industry?

My experience at Impact so far has been incredible, as someone who is brand new to the creative recruitment industry I feel in sync with the fantastic team and my confidence is growing rapidly. From the initial interviewing process to taking a seat at my desk, I have just felt happy and content with the decision I have made to join the team at Impact.

Why did you choose Impact recruitment agency?

I decided to go for a role with impact after quite a hefty interviewing process for various roles, due to their family and human feel but also for my love of people and helping people to reach goals in a creative space! The clients Impact work with are fantastic and super high-profile in the creative industry, it’s an amazing opportunity to showcase my abilities and skills to these clients.

How has your first week gone?

My first week at Impact has been a breath of fresh air, a completely different vibe to my previous role in estate agency and I have loved it! Recruitment has a lot of different elements to it, but I really do feel as if it is my calling, the client base is incredible as well as having a supply of amazing candidates interested in the variety of roles we have to offer at impact.

How would you describe the culture and working environment?

The working environment here is genuinely something I have been looking for, for a very long time! Its such a positive space to be in, so many optimistic, genuine and successful individuals in the same space is something that is usually quite hard to come by, but I feel as if impact have hit the nail on the head with the team!

Having joined as an Associate on our Support Division, what type of ‘impact’ do you hope to make?

I’m really looking forward to progressing in the role and being able to bring something fresh to the table, to help place people into the jobs of their dreams and make a positive impact on so many professional lives! I hope to make a very positive impact on the teams days too!
