This July we welcomed Samira, our intern for the week. Here’s what Samira had to say about her work experience week with the Impact team.

When Nick Evans, the founder of Impact Creative London, introduced me to the team, I immediately felt welcomed and like a part of the organisation. Within the first day of shadowing Daniel Asaya, a Consultant at Impact Creative, all of my initial fears about the job went away. I found the fast-paced nature of the role challenging and exciting, allowing me to explore what I enjoyed in the working environment. assistant, to my surprise, I found the challenge exciting.

Throughout the work experience week, the team trusted me to take on any task they sent my way, which greatly boosted my confidence in my abilities. Once I had completed one task I was able to move on to the next immediately and never felt afraid to ask a question when I needed to,  as the team was consistently reassuring and supportive.

Additionally, I was able to express my creativity through social media marketing and creating advertisement designs for Impact’s LinkedIn using Canva. As well as developing conventional office habits such as curating notes for the registration of a potential candidate. Being provided with the chance to develop skills that go beyond the office has set me up for future success, and I am grateful for the opportunity.

I have really enjoyed my time here, at Impact, and have been lucky to have been within a friendly, positive and professional environment. Here at Impact lies amiable individuals who create a warm and friendly office that carry themselves with gracious professionalism and truly care about your future. I will be eternally grateful for all that I have learnt during my work experience and cherish the time spend with the team that I have built a friendship with!
